So I used the uninstaller again and reinstalled the client - and I will no longer attempt using SSO on the desktop app. Maybe SSO is only meant for using in-browser?

I don't know. I'm using SSO and am seeing connection issues on the zoom desktop. A new meeting is attempted and we see the connection attempts going in a loop. This has loop can continue for over an hour.. Traffic analyser shows timeout errors, and the zoom appears to be connecting to their HT Tunnels. Unfortunately not. I don't have the knowledge to do any significant network analysis. I just won't use SSO on the desktop application.
