I see that when you use the Modern User Interface version of Internet Explorer 10 on your PC, it sometimes zooms the websites automatically and you would like to know if there are any option to disable this auto-zoom feature. Please answer to these questions for a better understanding of the issue. When exactly does it get zoomed? Is it when the Internet Explorer 10 loads the website? Does this happen with all the websites that you browse in the Internet Explorer 10?
From when, are you facing this issue? Have you made any recent changes on the computer prior to this issue? We do not have any such options in Internet Explorer 10 to set the automatic zoom for the web pages.
But, we do have the options to set the zoom level of the websites as according to our wish. Hope this information helps. If you need any further assistance or information regarding Windows, please feel free to get back to us. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. If you have Group Policy Editor on your computer, there is a switch that disables zoom functions.
Not sure if this answers the mail, but worth a try? There is a laundry list of all IE switches Thanks Scott, GP only allows you to disable the ability to manually adjust zoom. The autozoom still functions between screens. Cannot figure why. Try disabling multi-touch to see? Unfortunately, this seems to mean that double tap is treated equivalently. So, what's the idea there?
Accept a double tap fast enough that it is within the parameters of establishing a two-finger semantic zoom action? Then all you would need to do is find out where double tap is defined and make it so slow that it can not be mistaken for a slowly established two-finger action. FWIW I know there is a way of tuning double tap to some extent but I don't know if it can be made slow enough to have the hypothesized effect.
Also, unfortunately, I don't know where the parameters are which define entering a two-finger action state. Worse, I can imagine that: in order to let users whose machines do not support multi-touch that double tap would be interpreted as semantic zoom no matter how slow or precisely positioned the taps were.
I am running a dynadock and dual 24 inch screens. Might be hand if dragging from extended screen to surface only however in this instance it is more annoying than Japaneese water tourture I have been searching for months now and this is the closest to any answer I've found Tired of unusable stuff.
Hated paying for Icrap to rip off workers, but MS-doesn't work ain't much better. All I'm asking to do is stop zooming when I try to change music selections or switch between items or play a game. Not too damned much to ask for the money. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.
While in ie 10 in tablet mode, the zoom will auto adjust at times. This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread. In reply to jumper's post on April 7, In reply to Rajesh Govind's post on February 20, No It did not help. Why would you even design a device that zooms at will.
This should be an option, not something you have to look everywhere for tutorials on how to disable it. The manufacturer of my computer Sony said this was a common complaint. I guess microsoft was too busy patting each other on the back to address this issue. Windows 8 zoom problem was resolved with disabling the pinch zoom. There is an hour and a half holding time with tech support. I would soon upgrade to windows 7, yes that would be an upgrade from the disastrous windows 8 and At least 7 used user friendly apps, and I an sure there was not an hour and a half wait for problems that microsoft created.
